About Oakland Hackers
Oakland Hackers is an organization that provides no-cost coding classes for kids in Oakland. Classes are taught at local libraries. The classes are for kids ages 8-14, with no prior coding knowledge. Oakland Hackers partners with The Unity Council, and Oakland Public Libraries to offer the classes. The classes will be taught at Fruitvale Library, Dimond Library, and Oakland Main Library.
Major funding for Oakland Hackers is provided by The Hacker Initiative.
Oakland Hackers is the brain-child of Sebastian, a 12-year old Oakland student, maker, and hacker.
